On Saturday June 17, 2017, Horizon Outreach’s President/CEO, Katrina Johnson awarded $28,000 in Scholarships to 8 recipients of the Horizon Eagle Fatherhood Program.
The Scholarships will pay for each recipient to attend Houston Community College’s Commercial Truck Driving Program. This is a 9 week program that will allow them to learn all of the techniques and rules to obtain their CDL License.
Seven Father’s and one mother were selected.
Recipients were selected from a total of 32 applicants. Each applicant had to write an essay, have a clear license without surcharges, and clear other mandatory enrollment requirements established by Houston Community College.
Every recipient was very excited and honored to be selected.
