Horizon Outreach is proud to announce Mr. Alton Barton, received his Commercial Truck Driver’s License. Mr. Barton, is a graduate of the Horizon Eagle Fatherhood Program. Through this program he attended evidenced-based curriculum workshops that strengthened his skills as a father in the areas of his relationships, parenting skills and employment readiness.
Upon completion of the Horizon Eagle Fatherhood Program and his ability to meet other program requirements, Horizon Outreach paid for Mr. Barton to attend Commercial Truck Driving School at Houston Community College. He attended 6 weeks of rigorous training.
On, Mr. Barton, came to Horizon Outreach to share the good news with our CEO, Ms. Katrina Johnson and staff members that he has his CDL License and five job offers!
Mr. Barton, thanked Horizon Outreach for assisting him in obtaining his CDL license, with case management to connect him to resources and with metro bus passes to attend school. He said he can now save money for his son to attend college and provide for his family.
