On February 16, 2017, Horizon Outreach held a Community Career Fair at our corporate office. The event was well attended and had seven employers present who conducted onsite interviews. Military veterans’s, fathers and mothers enrolled in the Horizon Eagle Fatherhood Program were there as well as job seekers from the local community. Aerotek provided employment for job seekers with prior military experience. Other employer’s onsite had various job openings in: construction, customer service, medical field, welding, corporate positions and more. Also, contract agencies were on staffing to assist job seekers with contract and direct hire positions.
Job Seekers from the Horizon Eagle Fatherhood Program participated in job readiness training to prepare them for the job fair. This training provided them with a resume that they could use for effective job search.
As and added treat, men and women received career clothing to prepare them for the job fair in advance.
